The 'Havendienst 1'
For the Municipality of Haarlem, we have commenced the construction of the ‘Havendienst 1’, a fully electric vessel specifically designed for harbor service operations. With this innovative ship, we are taking a new step towards sustainable and efficient water management.
Compact and Maneuverable Design
The ‘Havendienst 1’ is designed to operate optimally in urban waterways. With a length of 11.00 meters, a beam of 4.10 meters, and an exceptionally low air draft of just 1.70 meters, the vessel can effortlessly navigate under low-clearance bridges. This makes it ideal for use in the canals and harbors of Haarlem.
100% Electric for a Sustainable Future
Sustainability is at the core of this project. The vessel is fully electrically powered, enabling emission-free operation. This contributes to a cleaner and quieter environment in and around Haarlem’s waterways.
Equipped with Innovative Technologies
The ‘Havendienst 1’ is equipped with advanced technologies that enhance its efficiency and versatility:
- Two electric propulsion pods for maximum maneuverability
- Bow thruster for precise navigation
- Spud poles for stable positioning
- Powerful crane with a 1,000 kg capacity for performing various tasks
