Steel cover.
The Apollo hotel is a characteristic building which forms a notable part of Groningen’s skyline. In 2018, we were asked to build a steel cover for the footbridge that connects both buildings.
The realization of the project.
The whole cover was built, coated and insulated in Franeker. At the same time, the assembly crew made the necessary preparations on-site, so the cover could be placed immediately. We finished the project by placing the glass and the wooden floor parts together with various subcontractors.
